Features

  • What Is Annealed Copper ? Annealing is a process were copper wire is heated to only halfway toward its melting point. This will reform the wire's physical structure as it was prior to being bent. This process is applied after the wire has been bent into the desired final shape.

  • What is Tinned Copper ? Tinned copper wire is copper wire coated with a thin, electroplated layer of tin. Tinning makes it easier to solder the copper wire because it readily bonds to solder. The process also provides extra oxidation resistance and high abrasive qualities.

I was pleasantly surprised by the speed from order to arrival in my mailbox.  You exceeded your stated processing time and mail service also was fast.   The item is what I expected.   This material will replace a 30m band conductor on a HexBeam Antenna I have that fell apart during winter storms with high winds.   OEM equipment was 18 AWG which you don't stock.  So I have some lingering concerns that won't resolve until I've installed the new conductor and tuned it.  My experience was positive and will refer back when I need other materials.  Todd, W8BIK
